Legoland In Florida has their first Christmas Tree lighting!!

To celebrate their first Christmas in Florida, LEGOLAND built a 30-foot Christmas tree entirely out of LEGO bricks! There are 270,000 of them to be exact and it looks great! They even have LEGO paper-chains on the tree and little elves helping to trim the tree in the back. The park’s first ever tree lighting ceremony took place on 5^th December where David Oliver, who is the world’s current American record-holder in the 110m hurdles and 2012 Olympic Track & Field was on hand to light the lights!

As part of the Christmas Bricktacular, Santa Claus will make special daily appearances in the historical botanical gardens, posing for pictures with guests. Through Dec. 31, each day a family will be chosen to help light the Bricktacular tree!

Macy’s Holiday Parade @ Universal Studio's 2011

This big event at Universal Studios Florida in December marks its 10th anniversary at the Orlando theme park. Many of the actual props and balloons used in the New York Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade are shipped down to Universal Orlando especially for this event. The Macy’s Holiday Parade is also notable as unlike the Mardi Gras parade (which only happens once a week in the spring) this parade runs every night at park closing throughout the month of December.

This event is great to see as the streets of Universal Studio's really do come alive! You have the excitement of balloons and floats that go beyond your imagination! There are marching bands and even Santa! 

Top Tip – The best place to watch the parade is in front of the Macy’s building which is located in the New York are of Universal Studio’s. This is also where you will find the Universal Studio’s Christmas Tree so you won’t miss it!!

At the end of the parade there is also a tree lighting ceremony in the New York area of Universal Studios.

December - 16, 19-25, Jan 1 at 5:00pm
December - 26-31 at 8:00pm

This will be a great event not to be missed!!

SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration Starts tonight!

For those people lucky enough to be spending Christmas in Florida, see details below of the Seaworld Christmas Celebration! Enjoy!

SeaWorld Orlando’s Christmas Celebration becomes a nightly event starting from today!  The event features nightly fireworks, elaborate stage productions and live music. 

One of the main highlights of the SeaWorld Christmas Celebration is the Sea of Trees! This has been expanded this year to include 100 trees around the park’s center lake, with twinkling lights choreographed to holiday tunes.  Programmed performances are scheduled several times throughout the night.

You will also want to make time for Winter Wonderland on Ice! This is at the Bayside Stadium, and is an ice skating extravaganza that is highlighted by water fountains, fireworks and cutting edge skate routines! Other shows popular at Sea World Orlando include Clyde and Seamore's Countdown to Christmas, Shamu Christmas Miracles and A Sesame Street Christmas.
